The Band

Revolver

A Metal/Punk band from Big Bear Lake, CA

Heavy, melodic, and groove-driven; this band blends metal, blues, and storytelling with raw energy. Featuring the seasoned fire of Mike Bailey (guitar/vocals), Greg Paz (guitar), Rich Alfieri (bass), and Chris Cotton (drums), their sound is forged from decades of influence: from Hendrix to Metallica. Live or in the studio, they bring power, passion, and riffs that hit hard.

The breakdown

Mike Bailey

Vocals/Lead Guitar

Mike Bailey is a powerhouse lead guitarist and vocalist with over 50 years of experience and a legacy rooted in the explosive spirit of '60s rock. First inspired by the raw sound of Blue Cheer in 1967 and raised in a musical household, Mike carved out his unique style blending metal and blues with a twist of storytelling and grit. Drawing from icons like Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, and heavy metal legends, his playing is defined by fiery solos, original riffs, and lyrics that hit hard with both power and humor.

Mike writes all the band's original lyrics and guitar parts, helping shape a sound that’s as intense as it is memorable. Outside the spotlight, he finds inspiration in Lionel model trains, pit bulls, and the pulse of the stock market. With unforgettable live performances and a love for “Ace of Spades” energy, Mike is most excited about releasing new music and keeping the momentum alive with a dream of one day opening for Testament.

Rich Alfieri

Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals

Rich has been playing bass for over 30 years. He has eschewed fame and fortunes his entire life waiting for this project to come along. Known for his deep improvisational style (guessing at times) and dedication to the groove, Rich draws influence from the likes of Phil Lesh, John Paul Jones, Geezer Butler, Greg Lake, and Danny Partridge. His playing is rooted in feel and instinct, shaped by formative experiences with bands like The Farther Eds and Freaktet. Rich plays for the love of music, and hopes fans walk away wanting more Revolver.

He's also getting old and is ready for the aforementioned ‘fame and fortune’.

Chris Cotton

Drums/Backing vocals

Chris Cotton is a powerhouse drummer whose love for rhythm began before most kids could tie their shoes; starting at just 5 years old. Raised in a vibrant musical world thanks to his father, a guitarist for the band POCO, Chris was surrounded early on by music, musicians, and what he lovingly calls “freaks.” That electric environment helped shape his passion for groove, energy, and raw expression.

Influenced by legends like Jimi Hendrix, John Bonham, Neil Peart, and Stewart Copeland, Chris channels both precision and soul into every performance. Though he enjoys recording, the real magic for him is on stage, feeding off the energy of a big crowd and locking into the groove that brings everything to life.

A defining musical moment? Hearing "Black Dog" on the radio as a kid, and later witnessing the immersive live power of Porcupine Tree. For Chris, music isn’t just sound; it’s therapy, groove, and connection. In his band, it's all about friendship, fun, and creating something real together.

Greg Paz

Lead/Rhythm Guitar

Greg Paz is a rhythm and lead guitarist with a heavy melodic crunch that fuses metal precision with emotional depth. After picking up his first guitar at 14 and mastering a Scorpions riff, he was hooked and never looked back. Inspired by a family of guitar players and a genre-bending list of influences like Metallica, SOAD, Gojira, Skrillex, and Kendrick Lamar, Greg crafts guitar parts that blend aggression, groove, and atmosphere.

With nearly two decades of playing under his belt, Greg brings not only originality but an infectious energy to the band’s sound, balancing live shows with studio sessions, and occasionally capturing magic, like the time the band’s canine manager, Rose, made a guest appearance in their track Catacombas. Whether headbanging at metal festivals or unwinding in the garden, Greg channels life’s chaos and calm into his music. His dream? To bring their sound to a major metal festival in the U.S. or Europe, one crushing riff at a time.
